Jennefer Wilson Photography bio picture

  • I love the great state of Texas!
    Especially the Texas Rangers.
    Photography challenges me...
    to be a better person...
    to acknowledge God's creativity,
and to be more organized (eek!).

    I love a sunny day.
    Especially with a cool breeze,
and a great pair of shades.
    I do what I love...
    and love what I do!

Raegan | Nash Farm Bridal Session

I could write enough words to go to the moon and back about how much I adore this incredibly beautiful, now married, woman. Raegan has to be one of the most genuine, and compassionate people I have ever been blessed to know. And talk about GORGEOUS…seriously, she has it all.

I’ve been beyond anxious to share this bridal session with you guys for so long! When I saw Raegan in her Vera Wang (only my favorite designer ever) gown…I almost stopped breathing.Lets get real though…when you put a girl who looks good in anything into a Vera gown, obsession is soon to follow.

Raegan and her wonderful mom met me and my friend Lauren at Nash Farms in Grapevine for our shoot…I hope you love them as much as I do!

I love the asymmetry in this gown! Raegan totally rocks it too!

For a crazy windy, abnormally cold day…I can’t imagine anyone else would have rocked it as hard as Raegan did. Get it girl!

Be still my heart! Buttons down the side too?! Sigh…I’m obsessed.

Months after the shoot, I can still say these are some of my favorite bridal portraits to date.

Happy wedded bliss sweet friend!!! I know yesterday was a  beautiful day and I can’t wait to hear and see the evidence of the covenants you and Clayton made!

Alanna Nason - Love! I like the variety in the settings:)

Gale Wilson - Beautiful! Gorgeous!

Cathy + Matthew | A Denton Bible Church Wedding

I am completely smitten by this wedding…all of the beautiful fall colors and the amazing couple you’re about to meet will truly make you weak in the knees!

Cathy and Matthew met in a library one day when Cathy had a crazy craving for a diet coke…little did she know, the vending machine had been moved and she would soon meet her future husband on her caffeine quest. Still addicted to caffeine, Cathy stood before Matthew in November looking beautiful as ever and I am still so honored to have been given the privilege to photograph their gorgeous wedding!

Cathy and Matthew opted for a first look, which is always, as you know, a huge bonus in my book! It made for ample time for stunning light and portrait time!

Could you two be any more gorgeous together? Stop it! Leave some for the rest of us!

Seriously Cathy…this is one of my favorite photographs I’ve ever taken. You are breath taking!

LOVE this wedding party…you know you have great friends when you can produce laughter like this!

Cathy and Matthew, I pray the Lord will bless you in your new adventures out in San Francisco as you start your life together! Thank you so much for letting me photograph your beautiful day!

Friends and family!!! Go check out the online gallery for all of the photos from Cathy and Matthews beautiful day!!

Lauren Scruggs Hope Fund Mini Sessions

I’ll never forget the first time I spoke to Lo…I had been praying that the Lord would bring me the room mate he desired for me to have in order to finish out our 6 girl town home at Dallas Baptist University. It seemed like I had looked over the lists supplied to me of people needing housing a million times but to no avail, I felt little peace about any of my options. I fell asleep with my laptop on my stomach on my parents couch and I vividly remember waking up and feeling the holy spirit say “look again”. So..I did…and that is when I saw Lauren’s name on the list, almost as if it had magically made it into the pdf while I slept. I immediately facebook stalked (don’t judge) and was stricken immediately by her beauty but as I kept reading, I learned of her fervent heart for the Lord and recognized her striving heart and spirit. I knew the Lord had brought Lauren to me for some reason and messaged her immediately. I received this response on June 25, 2008 at 10:07pm
“That sounds amazing!! I have been praying so hard about finding roommates…this is definitely an answer to prayer! I would love to live with you girls! have you already signed a lease?!”

Not two days living together, Lo would help me through a bad breakup and be my constant friend and prayer warrior…and she still is. I would read her my english essays and she would show me her fashion magazines…we decorated our room the best we could and we still refer to it as our perfect princess room. Lauren loaned me her Sony DSLR camera one weekend for a trip to houston…and as I fumbled through a bunch of foreign numbers on the screen…I fell in love with photography. Lauren has been and will continue to be an inspiration to me…even more than this, I know the Lord will continue to use Lauren to inspire the world through her love and passion.

It has been such a blessing to watch the Lord bring the dreams she began to dream during college to fruition. To hear stories of fashion week and see her walk out the door in fur…and other things I could never pull off. And NOW to see lolo mag thriving and to see her face light up when she talks about new ideas and business plans.

———————

Last Saturday, Lauren was involved in a truly tragic accident that completely amputated her left hand and caused skull and chest injuries. It is hard to understand how the accident came to fruition…but I know this, Lo is a fighter and she is dearly loved by family and friends and is held by her heavenly father. The prayers that have been lifted up have truly been a source of encouragement to everyone that loves Lauren. We are continually praying for healing of her left eye and praying that God would work miracles and give her sight! We are also praying against all infection as her wounds begin to heal. As Lo begins to become more awake and more aware, we are praying for her and her loved ones emotional state as she learns the extent of her injuries. Please join us in praying for these things!

After visiting her yesterday, and seeing her beautiful face and truly feeling the presence of Jesus in her room, I am encouraged and fully anticipating the miracles the Lord has in store for Los healing and her future! God is going to do INCREDIBLE things!!! … she walked today…told you!

1Blessed is the one who considers the poor! In the day of trouble the LORD delivers him;
2 the LORD protects him and keeps him alive; he is called blessed in the land; you do not give him up to the will of his enemies.
3The LORD sustains him on his sickbed;  in his illness you restore him to full health.

Lo, you WILL make it through this battle. You are dearly loved by your family, by your friends, and by the Lord your God. We will all be by your side every step of the way. You mean the world to me and I cannot wait to see your gorgeous face again! I love you Lolita!

Bethany + Jonathan | A Swinging D Ranch Engagement

I am so thrilled to post this engagement session today! Talk about an inspirational couple! Bethany and Jonathan…seriously…you guys have already impacted my life more than you know. I normally don’t post my couples love stories until the wedding post, but I feel like a story like theirs is better posted sooner than later!

Bethany spotted Jonathan one day at Dallas Baptist University. She remembers thinking that “she wasn’t good enough for him, but that he was just about the cutest thing she had ever seen.” And Jonathan, well, Jonathan says ” I really thought there was NO chance a girl like her would go for me…but here we are.” A few months later, they went on their first date! Dinner and a movie quickly turned into months of head over heels love and now their wedding is on it’s way!

I quite honestly, have never seen a couple with more understanding and patience with one another, nor have I known a couple with a love that is literally infectious. Jonathan was involved in a paralyzing car accident 3 months after his return from his tour in Bosnia in 1999…since then he has gained the title of “superman” training tirelessly for triathlons and finishing in mind blowing times. Read his full story here…grab some tissues first.

Bethany and Jonathan…you two inspire me and I know you will be the source of much more inspiration in the story the Lord has laid out for you.
